A reason yet again for us to celebrate… A new yr awaitin ahead of us havin the placard holdin our names;-)


Now its tym for evry1 of us to recollect all de swt & not so swt moments of de yr 2011… Ah, Feel lik I hav a short term memory loss…haha… I don’t remember evrythn…;-P

Year started off well wit my Intern…  Had a Cool gang of frndz wit whom I spent all my 6 months... Tough tyms in between whr I had to undergo de hectic conversion process which finally favoured… Sleepless nights in ksrtc & kpn on my visits to Coimbatore… (Reasons being de fear of nit journey & de excitement in meetin my frndz)  Very differnt bday eve aftr 4 yrs wit complete silenc all around n jst de phone calls @ 12 midnit, though I had gr8 bday celebs @ home wit family & wit de Intern team;-)  A weekend visit to Shiridi… Had a vry Gud dharshan… tat was my longest journey by car ever (Oooooo tiresome one) Different feedbacks durin diff reviews @ coll, editings done for ppts as per guide’s guidance who gave 10 for our batch evrytym without a 2nd thought… A moment of relief aftr de final review… Too many clicks on Convocation day wit de classmates… Finally a break 4m de work for 15 days… My Gudnes sry badnes, I hav never had such a bad vacation whr I was bed-ridden for de whole 2 weeks due to my tonsillitis surgery, not able to intake anything not even an ice-cream…  1st tym in my lyf I hav been quiet for de entire 2 weeks, dint even utter a word... Back to wrk on July 18th… Sooperb 3 weeks @ NetApp… Complete training whr v had a gr8 tym… (hidden meaning- haha)… Had a very different experience durin de 3 weeks stay @ the so-called guest house durin training & the Outdoor dinners wit frnds…  Got into de new team aftr trainin whr Nivi was/is de only gal and de rest wer/are all experienced gentle-men in de team…  But I got to learn a lot...I soon  realized tat I was in de rit place... My first project whr I played a major role went live on Nov. 21st;-) My dream was not tat far… I was allowed to take up de job of my interest & work on it 4m de mid of Dec… On de othr side, der had been a Gud numbr of bday celebs @ home, @ company and few of my freq visits to madrs & my very freq visits 2 my metro..;-) Diwali @ Cloud nine was altogether an enjoyable one… Tym 2 thank de shutdown… Got a chanc to meet my all-tym frnds aftr a very long tym… Sollave venaam had de best of my tym in madrs for de entire two days… I wish I get a shutdown evry month jst to visit my frnds;-P  On de whole, 2011 was so far so Gud… Thank yu 2011;-) Comin to de new yr, Capricorn horoscope says ‘2012 -  A year of well deserved achievements & surprises’ …haha…  Tend to believ in horoscope only wen it says somethn Gud lik de one above…. So wat r yu waitin for… Ready…Get Set Go… Take resolutions for de new yr and make sure yu break dem all;-P ….haha...

MANKAATHA - Thala 50

Lots of Hype n Anxiety, And sumtyms Even it works…Yeah, Ajith’s 50^th movie "MANKAATHA, Strictly No Rules" is on Cloud nine now along wit me:-)

Ah jst wait wait… Want you to answr one ques b4 yu contnu reading… Watched de movie?

If Yes, Pls Go ahead…But views differ and Dis s purely my personal view on the movie…

If No, Its better yu Stop by dis post of mine after watching the movie…

Fortunate to watch it the very first day in my HomeTown amidst All screamings, claps n whistles….

Hmmm…Opening scene in the movie is really flawless… ‘Kakka Kakka’ Anbuchelvan & ‘Saami’ Aruchamy is nowhr in front of ‘Mankaatha’ Vinayak and the Entry of Ajith in the movie proves it….

Though the Storyline is so simple n short, Venkat Prabhu has tried his level best to portray dis movie more as a Hero’s movie rather than a Director’s movie. Yeah, Of course it is needed wen it comes to a Golden jubilee movie in the venture of a well-recognized Hero. May be dis is the reason the recent reviews on the movie say that ‘Any Ajith’s fan would love the movie’ and Yes, I did:)  Venkat here its for yu, a Star. 

Trisha as Sanjana , (One n only Tamil Heroine who withstands in the Kollywood in the recent years) has done justice to her part in the movie. Though she appears only in the first half of the movie, her role holds a strong place in the hearts of the audience even aftr the movie. Oops forgive me if I am exaggerating coz I am a fan of Trisha too:-P And a little thought from my side is that She will do a better job when she is offered  character roles just lik as hw Simran did in her days.Busy Mano's mom deserves 2 Stars.

Moving to the Songs & BGM, there are no words to say. Yuvan for the first time has done an excellent composition for my Hero n I realized it only in the theatre. Let me thank him atleast once. Coz the success of the movie would definitely carry his music as one of the greatest plus. Thanks yuvan and Hav it, a star.

The picturisation of ‘Vaada Bin Lada’ is simply superb… And Yes, the other songs are also too Gud but dis deserves one Spl star from me for the xtra-ordinary picturisation (Is dis girlish taste?...May be) … Since I have seen many vote for the song ‘Machi, Open the Bottle’…

All the othr characters (Chennai 28 @ Saroja @ Goa team, Anjali, Andrea, Boss’ Brother-Pk after being renamed in the movie, Arumuga Chettiar,  n ….) have contributed to the movie by means of living their characters instead of just acting… A star from my side as a tribute to evry1…

Action King seems like he is back on the track of Kollywood warning others “Heroes be careful..Yu hav one more competitor”… And I doubt if he is correct after watching the movie. One mre star for the Action King…

Finally its de tym for me to bring Thala into the picture. His natural looks, the style he possesses, his own way of acting, his simplicity, his humbleness towards othrs, his confidence, his hardwork n much mre… Dis s all which has brought him up to this level in the industry. He did face many ups and downs in his career but worth to mention that he did give many successful movies too…. Vaalee n Amarkalam r two of all tym favourites… Billa is another master-piece… And Now, MANKAATHA is added to it… The movie has made n definitely gonna make wonders in the days 2 cum... THREE stars 2 celebrate THALA 50….

Rating: 9/10… (Hope, I did count it correctly and 1 is left for Anti-Ajith fans:-P)

Frndship tat is to be treasured forever

“Frndship tat is to be treasured forever” was wat I wanted 2 write… I knw tat I wud never stop writin if I write on dis topic…So I jst wantd to sprinkle my thoughts in random in dis post… Nothin formal… Nothin specific… Neithr structural nor organized t wud be…So my sincere apologies in advance for de confusions tat may arise aftr readin dis:-P…

4 yrs…I mean 4x365 days…Don know hw she was able to manage wit me…Or should I rephrase it de othr way... (:-P:-P) Ultimate decision is left 2 her…  Taught me hw 2 behav wit othrs n hw 2 believ othrs…  Made me sit in one place for 2 hrs continuously durin internals which is highly impossible… Listened 2 hod’s class very sincerely n made me score in DCS…Oops sry in Al maths subjects… So sad tat she was bound 2 attend my physics lecture in 1^st yr… (Nan teach pannadhu innum nyabagam irukum!!!:-P)…  But 2 say de fact, ppl wer lucky enuf 2 study economics wit me… Its rather a spl talent 2 teach economics wit complete patienc & make dem remember it pointwise… I deserve appreciation @ dis point:-P… and many mre lik dis……. Missin evrythn n especially her…:(:(:(

 “Hey kuvi Mrng elupi vitru…Vandhu face’a kaami” has been de statement tat keeps alarmin in my mind even nw…I stil wonder if t had been really lucky for my dears….(my kakka, my sweety n my darling…Its hw I cud refer dem)…. But I feel gr8 tat I ve been their luck factor in some way (Innuma indha ulagam enna nambudhu nu adikadi thonum…) Watched N sry N^N movies together…(many wit ful concentration n few wit less concentration…(hehe!!) & eeram is one among dem) Dey cud ve jst allotted us a single room in 3^rd yr… Al 6 of us spent 24/7 of our tym in E-416… Tat room has lots n lots f our pleasant memories in it… !!!:) 

Sweety is so swt as her name…. Sings very wel (yedho en alavuku illanaalum hmmm   paravaala:-P)…Haha… Expectin her visit 2 dpi very sooooon………  We (kakka n myself) tested her patience 2 de core while practicing for our hostel day performance… But evrythn was in vain… She understood our talent so wel tat she gav us de hardest steps ever…(Yu ought 2 believ it…Haha!!!) She luvs red colour... She has been my inspiration for de harry series… Think she stil has my name as “Neville” in her mobile!! Missing her terribly:(:(:(

Had(v) entirely different tastes yet we wer(are) close:):):) I am an ardent fan of Ajith, kakka of Vijay, Officer ( it sounds different for me!!!!) of Super star, Sweety of Surya n Here comes our Gang leader, fan of Ravi(hero(?)…Confusion never ends…Hehe!!!) n my darling -> fan of de real talents… Have always had arguments tat has ended up in a cold war evrytym(haha!!)… Missing Gang leader’s spl preparation of paruppu podi rice for which she has so many fans….:(:( Nt even my mom has fed me so much… Enna ooti ooti valartha perumai gang leader ye serum…:-P… Miss yuuuuuuuuu……….:(:(:(

My darling supports me evrytym wen othrs play pranks on me… Infact she alwys calls me “darling” more than I cal her… I doubt if sum1 else is really born in dis world 2 cal me lyk tat in future... (Lolz…!!!) Known for her fav “Hey gethu po”……… Patient than me in teachin…  Gave me a 4-page script abt me wen I left for my intern… Not oly tat, wrote mre than 10 pages in my slam… I do have it as my lyf-tym treasure… Enna pathiyum ivlo eludha mudiyuma nu ninakka vecha en darling’a romba romba romba miss panren… :(:( Very true thing I lik abt her is tat She always speaks 4m her heart:) Not many do tat…. 

Kakka n myself had same frequency in many…(Kakka knows t!!! Temptations:-P) Only I cud understand her mind voice… But @ de same tym, andha same topic’a veche avala romba vambu pannirukan…Sry kakka:(:)... Known for her tunnelling n black salwar (Exact luk n feel of a kakka...:-P...Haha) “En darling’a adikaadha” nu solli solliye enaku adi vaangi kudutha kaaka, I miss yu I miss yu I miss yuuuuuuuuuuuu……….. :(:( Hope yu heard my “uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu”………

Still preserving one video clip which was shot in our 2^nd yr … Even de choreographer of de song “Raaku muthu Raaku” wud nt hav thought so much 2 make t tat different n unique as hw V made it… Nd its definitely coz f my near n dear ones who kept on encouraging me by singin n havin fun… Felt so happy tat dey got a reason 2 enjoy by means f my so-called-dance & I jst wanted to admit de fact tat I did tat jst 2 see the smiles on their faces…….. :) I have given lots of such performances evrtym dey asked for ....(Odi odi vilaiyaada – in front of E-416 and 1^st yr hostel day dance are some of our master-pieces:-P) Moments to be cherished……:)

Movies especially on officer’s b’days , Galattas, Tr8s, R.V’s Evening Dinner, Never-Ending Chats (Salikaama pesirukkom!!!), “Memory full !!! please delete some images” number of photos, “Houseful” kinda theatres, G.Puram’s sugarcane, cotton candy, lots n lots f teases n fights (Chumma Chumma…:P), Cards til “Oh!!! Its 12’o clock already”, Internals preparation wit two care-free ppl wit us, Gang leader’s secret trips to dpi, ……Sry I ll keep on writin… V hav plenty n plenty f Swt memories… 4 yrs seemed to be 4 decades for us…. 

Lucky 2 hav them as my frnds:):) Happy Frndship day dears:):):) Our Friendship cannot be measured, it can only be treasured:):) 

Lyf @ NetApp

Lyf @ NetApp has been so wonderful......Feeling Gud to say tat I got a couple of frnds @ NetApp to whom I have'nt even spoken for 4 yrs in College. None othr than my Cs frnds. Nw the situation s xactly oppsite:-P I speak til dey say "Enuf Nivi"... I ve had a better intro with al my IT frnds @ Coll itself  (Hope Shan agrees wit t:-P ...Shan: Any thn 2 say?? Say me personally:-P) Nd One n Only new frnd from Blore is Sushee...Nyc being wit her..Very open minded n frndly...A swt frnd of al f us... So apart 4m de Xcellent team, I had a bunch of cool frnds @ my workplace. V had a gala tym evry nw n then @ Office along wit b'day treats, Conversion  treats, farewel treats n many treats even without reasons.......Dis short tym bond among us made me stay bak @ NetApp n not even think f de othr choice...Thnx to al my Intern frnds who made my 180 days worthy as wel as wonderful. Infact I missed my college frnds a lot:( {I wish Sow doesnt read the above line:-P}... Shoppin mela, Anjappar tr8 & Stay @ CV Raman nagar r few f my precious moments durin Internship!!! Paying tribute to My 180 days' Intern period

Am happy that atlast I got some time to pen down my 6 months experience @ NetApp. But this is just for those who have little patience so that I dont waste others time unnecessarily!!!:-P I still remember the day (Dec 17th) when I was roaming around Canteen block & Y block of my college not knowing that the day was going to be mine. I was first interviewed by Vishal, my own Manager (whom i have currently tagged as "work-conscious but hyper-Cool" , I know its little bit contradictory(haha!!) but he is) and later by Srivardhan with whom I got to work for the first half of my Intern Period fortunately. It was a very cool interview,though. This mindset made me do the other interview as Gud as I did this. (Nothing but Alcatel Lucent, the same day). Luck favoured me that day(luckily!!!). My name was read out in both the companys and I was in....Nothing else to say on this except that I should Thank God and just move on to my golden period of Internship.

 

Started off well on January 6th. I was waiting in the lobby for an Escort to take me inside. Along with me was my newly introduced friend Susheela. Srivardhan just entered by that time. He came straight to me and wished me Good Luck for the first day. To say the truth, I recognised him only after he left but was so happy then since he remembered me amongst 20 to 30 people whom he interviewed. All 1st day procedures went on so Good with IBM thinkpad, Cubicle being offered, etc,etc,etc..........Later I just met my team mates, got introduced to few. And the first news they gave us was the Wonderla trip. The time when we heard it, We (None other than Durai, Sowbarani & myself) were completely wondering on what is happening around us that too on the very first day of Corporate life.  Had ultimate enjoyment the next day. Instead of being hydrophobhic, for the first time in my life, I went in almost all water rides tat was safe for my height {laughter prohibited @ dis statement particularly!!!} 

 

Coming to the Routine work, We three had Xcellent support from the entire team starting from our managers for the entire six months. 

Vatsala was assigned my buddy (None other than the one who is famous for the phrase "Junk Fellow") but we both were working together only towards the end of 6 months. Though it was a very short span of time, I enjoyed working with her. She was the one who taught us to "Work with pleasure". She has been very friendly and caring. I wish I would have worked with her for some more days:( It will be unfair of me if I fail to mention that my Buddy is an xcellent singer and She sings tamil songs so well!!!:) I was lucky to have her as my Buddy:):)

Development phase was so Gud. Had chance to work with Java Experts of our team none other than Srivardhan and Dharani. We were learning the GWT along with our mentors and it was very gud working with them. We enjoyed playing with GWT widgets in the first half of our Intern period. We were given different screens to design (infact little challenges) and It was all like learning with fun. We absolutely enjoyed working in Development. Special thanks to Srivardhan and Dharani for teaching us lot many things in such a short period.

Sridevi is another Cool sorry Calm sorry Kind sorry Humble manager and in fact I am still searching for a better metaphor that would describe her quality exactly. She is such a sweet manager we have never expected to meet in our career. Somehow we managed to stop calling her as "Madam" as early as possible. I still doubt if someone in such a cadre could be so humble and kind round the clock amidst all serious responsibilities. She is a perfect xample for the above mentioned controversial statement. Since the team was a bit new to us, We unfortunately missed her kid's b'day during the earlier period:( I wish I get a manager like Sridevi in the latter part of my career.

Coming to my manager Vishal, as I already said he is a hyper-Cool person and it was very nice working under him. He is more like "Work while you work , Play while you play" kinda person. But I have always heard Reddy saying xactly different about Vishal. We like them fighting sorry pretending to fight with each other. And I should never forget to thank Vishal that his statement is 99.9% fulfilled and We all are converted:)  I hope Vishal deserves a special treat from all Interns who are converted:-P  And that is PRETTY MUCH about my manager(haha!!!)

Venkat, Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....we have always got a  feeling that He is our Senior Manager whenever we approach him and Absolutely he was...Helped us in times of need, motivated us right from the first and Yes, We are thankful to him in all ways.

Surekha was the first person in fact with whom I have spoken a lot in our team. She is another friendly person and happened to be Sowbarani's buddy. I would rather say that "As vatsala was for me, Surekha was there for both Sowbarani and me". She is a very sweet friend of us. Very happy that We attended her marriage reception. 

Cognos made us move with Kalyan and he was ready to help all three of us anytime. Reddy is known for his Ridiculous and but he has never been like that in Reality. I remember seeing Kalyan and Reddy by 9 AM @ office most of the days. Still wondering how people come so early and leave so late!!! Thanks Kalyan and Reddy for all the help and for clearing all our doubts though it had been the silliest one. And in particular Kalyan - Hope We did not trouble you much in this 6 months having you amidst us.(your cubicle amidst ours' )

Shivakumar is a Sincere employee as everyone knows. The days that we were working under him are always memorable. He has always been cautious when it comes to work making us execute a test case twice or thrice before passing it. He is quite worth to be mentioned as our mentor ever. Hope we helped him as much as we could. Thanks Shiva:) 

Srikanth has always been encouraging in his talk with us and We have felt it Gud. I think We did not leave Srikanth too and have approached him for help and doubts. Thanks Srikanth for everything:)

Deen, Ranjith and Sirish - Moved with all three of them only during the QA phase and Thanks to all:):) Thanks to Chinna Durai:) I was supposed to be working under him but missed!!!

On the whole, We had ultimate fun and enjoyment working in SANscreen team with good team interaction and full team support. Not to mention one or two, we have gone for numerous treats and team lunches. Finally We were given an xcellent farewel by the team. Lunch along with gaming. The day when we realized more that We will be missing the team very badly. We will be always looking forward to work with the same team (But Unfortunately its impossible)

I just felt like writing this blog when we were asked to speak about our own teammates in our final team lunch.  Hope I did not make you all lose your patience (Atleast not that much:-P)!!!
